Out of control family disputes cost nerves, money and, above all, precious time. That is why I always strive for amicable, out-of-court solutions first. A particular focus of my law firm is on the design and negotiation of complex divorce agreements and marriage contracts. About 90% of all divorces in the last ten years of my law practice were settled amicably.
Proven qualification as a specialist lawyer in family law
I received the title of ‘Specialist Lawyer in Family Law’ from the Frankfurt Bar Association in 2024 after having completed the required number of family law cases within the statutory period of time. This distinction goes hand in hand with a requirement to attend continuous legal education classes in family law. You can therefore rest assured that you will always be advised and represented on the basis of the latest legal developments.
Professional and personal support on the path through the family crisis
In addition to the numerous legal issues that arise regularly in the area of family law, the preservation of familial bonds, the protection of the children and personal reorientation in situations of upheaval are also at stake here. Divorces and family conflicts are often emotionally very stressful for those affected. Nevertheless, they are a reality for a large proportion of families today. For me, they are part of everyday life. I do not see divorce as failure, but rather support you in the process of reorientation and growth.
I do everything I can to ensure that you have a secure livelihood after the divorce, and conversely, I defend you against excessive demands. Protecting your family assets is of particular concern to me. If children are involved, I look for age-appropriate solutions for their future care, preferably by both parents. I want your life and that of your children to continue to go well even after the separation.
I will explain the legal situation to you without legal jargon and without unrealistic promises, and discuss the appropriate strategy with you. No two cases are the same. It is about your family and your finances. In every phase of the proceedings, I therefore act in accordance with your wishes, needs and expectations, am available to you as a sparring partner if you wish, and speak for you when your voice begins to crack or you lose your temper. For me, a professional attitude and empathetic and committed representation of interests are not a contradiction in terms.
Many years of professional experience in the international financial sector
During my first professional phase as a lawyer in a leading international law firm in Frankfurt and London, with an internship at a prominent investment bank, I learned how to negotiate intensively, how to tweak contracts to fine tune every last detail, to be available at all times in special situations, to work in interdisciplinary, multicultural teams, to find complex solutions for demanding projects, to grasp extensive facts quickly and to always and unconditionally put the interests of the client first. These experiences and skills continue to shape the way I work today. My second career phase is characterised by a strong work ethic and an unconditional focus on service, as well as a shift towards private clients and their family conflicts.
Many years of litigation experience before German family courts
If an amicable solution cannot be reached, I will guide you through the court proceedings before the family court with commitment and experience, if necessary all the way to the Higher Regional Court. I will stand by your side throughout the entire separation and divorce process, navigating you through the inevitable ups and downs and lending an ear to the numerous everyday problems that a divorce brings with it.
I regularly appear before the local courts (family courts) of Königstein im Taunus, Bad Homburg v. d. H., Frankfurt am Main including the Höchst branch, Offenbach, Wiesbaden and Mainz, as well as before the Higher Regional Court of Frankfurt am Main, but also before other German courts.

My law firm for family law and mediation has been based in Königstein im Taunus since 2014. For ten years, the firm operated under the name ‘Mediation Law Firm Marx’, with family law advice being offered together with mediation. I am familiar with the living environment and the justified expectations of my often privileged clients, as well as the concerns and needs of single mothers and fathers and victims of domestic violence. I am equally familiar with divorces and maintenance cases with international implications and the valuation of real estate in the suburbs in Taunus or at holiday homes.
Due to my many years of living in the area, I have an excellent network in the Taunus region and Frankfurt am Main. If required, I can put you in touch with legal experts from other fields, mediators and coaches, tax advisors, real estate agents and appraisers, marriage counsellors, psychologists, independent financial advisors, Weißer Ring employees and other professionals.
